Bulletin: vets asked to watch for two German Shepherd mixes

This is an urgent bulletin for veterinarians, shelters, and police. It comes from three public TikTok videos and tips from people in the field. We are not printing a person’s name until we can confirm it from the video or a police record.

The report says a woman is trying to have two healthy German Shepherd mixes euthanized. The dogs are described as her husband’s. The videos say she is going through a bitter divorce and is trying to hurt him by killing the dogs. They say four veterinary clinics confirmed the visits, called police, and that she left.

The videos also say she told one clinic that if she cannot find someone to put the dogs down, she will shoot them by the end of the weekend.

What a clinic should do

  • If she asks to euthanize healthy dogs, do not proceed.
  • Call local police. Do not wait for another clinic to do it.
  • Keep any name, phone number, and vehicle details for the officer.
  • If the dogs are safe to hold, contact a rescue or write to us.

If you can shelter these dogs, or you know where they are, contact us or send a report. If a dog is in danger now, call the police first.

This is a report from those videos, not a court finding. We will update this page if a police record names the person or the city.
